Man Riding 9,000 Miles on Electric Bike to Raise Awareness for Senior Needs

By Caring Senior Service

On June 4th, CEO and founder of Caring Senior Service, Jeff Salter, passed through Galesburg, IL, on his ride to raise awareness of unmet needs in senior care. Caring Senior Service of Galesburg put together a senior resource fair to welcome Jeff and help inform the community about gaps in senior care and companies who can help.

The event also served as a fundraiser to help collect money for grab bars. Caring Senior Service will be installing grab bars in seniors' homes to begin closing the gap in fall prevention. Over 80% of falls occur at home in the bathroom, but many falls can be prevented with simple safety devices, like grab bars.

This local event was covered by Our Quad Cities. Visit their site here to learn more about the event and Caring Senior Service's movement.
