Senior Arts & Crafts Sessions

Houston Parks & Recreation Department (HPARD) provides seniors with a variety of opportunities to get involved in various arts and crafts classes for FREE. These include general arts and crafts classes as well as classes based in ceramics, scrap booking, jewelry making, quilting, crocheting, and needlework. No matter what your artsy interests are you will find something for you on the list of classes provided by HPARD, which is consistently updated to include the area's latest offerings. 

Bridge at the Bayland Community Center

The Bayland Community Center offers seniors a variety of opportunities to play bridge throughout their calendar of social events. The Duplicate Bridge games are usually held every Wednesday and Friday from 11:45 am to 3:00 pm. As an alternative Foursome Bridge is an offer on Tuesdays from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. 

Afternoons with Northwest Assistance Ministries

The Northwest Assistance Ministries affordable days full of activities for seniors. The only fees required are a one-time $25 initiation fee to join the group and a $1 paid for the entire day of activities. These are the funds that help run the group. The group provides lunch to all seniors and also a day full of activities including games, fitness activities, and social outings including field trips and other fun activities. The day's activities are open to anyone aged 50+.
