Two NOVA Women Earn Top Honors with Caring Senior Service Standards Program

By Caring News

Two of the staff at Caring Senior Service of Northern Virginia, a private-duty, non-medical home care services company in Gainesville, Virginia, have completed all the certifications and actions necessary to earn Caring Seniors Service’s GreatCare® Master Certification.

Angela “Angie” Collins achieved the master certification for her role as the location’s care manager and Nicole Pierce achieved her master certification for her position as a homecare consultant.

“We are both excited for Angie and Nicole and proud of their achievements,” said Wayne Mitchell, owner of Caring Senior Service of Northern Virginia. “We only hire team members who display a true passion for serving others and who have experience working with seniors. Angie and Nicole have certainly shown their dedication by completing these certifications so diligently.”

The GreatCare® method addresses the three most important areas of senior care concern: quality caregivers, care solutions and active involvement. To achieve the GreatCare® Master Certification, participants must complete a progressive program that starts at the certified level, moves to the advanced level and then culminates with the master level.

Each level challenges the staff to achieve milestones in their educational background, professional development and delivery standards.

“Proper education and training creates the foundation for our success as a brand, so we wanted to develop an extensive catalog of tools, training and processes that support our GreatCare® methodology and high brand standards or use by our owners,” said Caring Senior Service Founder and CEO Jeff Salter. “This staff certification program encourages, recognizes and rewards local team members who demonstrate mastery and the practice of GreatCare® in their daily activities. We know that great service can only be delivered by qualified and experienced staff. At Caring, we want to make sure our local

teams in every market have the right personality, training opportunities and skill set to ensure our clients receive the best quality of care.”

Caring Senior Service rolled out the certifications as part of the company’s overall GreatCare® mission in January. Team members who had more than two years’ experience could achieve a master certification through an accelerated program path in their local office.

Staff members who complete levels of GreatCare® certification are given recognition, career advancement opportunities and an invitation to a GreatCare® Master conference on behalf of their local owner.
